And Exodus tells the story twice - first with all of the instructions on how to construct the Tabernacle and everything needed for it, and then the description of following those instructions with the actual building and crafting of the Tabernacle. God was passionate about building the Tabernacle so He could dwell in the midst of His people, and He enhanced the creative abilities of Bezalel and his assistant by His Spirit. This was a time consuming project, that does sound boring, until we remember that our wilderness times are also the times when He is passionately working creatively in our lives, so we can be His dwelling place, just as you wrote, "we are the Temple, the Holy of Holies where He dwells.
