Eventually, hopefully, there comes a time when we're sick of the easy fix that was never good enough, and we want to be done with our inadequate coping skills. Depending on how stubborn – or evasive – we are, we realize the truth: We can't do this. He has to be the one to heal us. This is where surrender happens.

And surrender is a cycle that continuously strengthens.
