First of all, “We grieve our inability to be all things to all people.” So true. This reminded me of a line in Andrew Peterson’s son “Just as I Am” which says, “[My fear is] the fear that His love is no better than mine.” Yet it is this inability that drives us daily to the arms of Jesus. Thank you for that.
Second, this post also reminded me of a song by Andy Gullahorn called “I Will.” The last verse says, “Truth is we’re all gonna take a last breath and that’s not the only sad death we are meant to feel, but if you need someone to do some dying with you, I will.” The whole song is beautiful, and I would recommend a listen through that entire album— but that aside, there are so many griefs and deaths that we die, even daily. It shocks me that anyone could think that Christians don’t experience pain, and it breaks my heart, but in the words of Andrew Peterson, “My Jesus makes all things new.”,
